The Irish Import Shop was founded in 1962. The
Store started out as a room in an apartment, which it quickly outgrew, and
moved into a storefront very soon. The store operated out of a location on
Beverly Blvd and Normandie which at the time was the hub of the Irish
community in Los Angeles. The Irish Import Shop has been at it's present
location for the past 22 years.
In summer 2007, a second Irish Import Shop was opened on Harney Street in
Old Town San Diego.
On March 1, 2008, the owner Anne
Colburn will celebrate 6 years of ownership. Come in and wish her well.
If you cannot make it into the store, come see us at various events through
the Southland.
